Baghpat: A sad news has come out for the policemen from Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday. Here a retarded youth attacked the policemen who were sleeping at their quarters in Chhaprauli police station. In the early morning, a retarded youth entered the Chhaprauli police station premises and created a ruckus. When the youth attacked the police officer Devendra Dubey with an eto, then the head constable Shokendra Pal was attacked with bars. Not only this, the retarded youth sometimes roamed here and there and kept running the policemen.
Four policemen including the inspector were seriously injured in the attack with bricks, iron rods and bars. They were assaulted due to which there was chaos in the entire police station premises in the morning. It has been told that the retarded youth has also assaulted Constable Praveen Kumar, Amarpal Rana. Even the policemen could not handle this sudden attack. Due to which the police station reverberated with the sounds of screams.
The inspector and the head constable were seriously injured with the same bricks and bars, who were rushed to the hospital by the policemen, but due to their serious condition, they were referred to the district hospital. The terror of the retarded youth did not stop here, the high voltage drama continued for hours. Sometimes a retarded youth would attack by entering the quarter and sometimes he would throw bricks by climbing on the roof of the police station. Sometimes he would imprison himself in the rooms in the quarters of the policemen and sometimes he would come out and beat up the policemen. In the quarter too, the youth created a ruckus by vandalizing it fiercely.
For hours, the policemen of Chhaprauli police station kept trying to catch him. In the heat, the policemen lost their sweat but could not catch the young man. After this, firefighters were called to the police station. The incident also created a stir in the police department. Seeing the commotion in the police station, the surrounding villagers also gathered, who stood watching the high voltage drama going on between the retarded youth and the policemen. Some people present there also captured this whole incident in their mobile.
As soon as the information was received, the police force from the nearby police station also reached there. So fear was visible among the policemen that they were hesitant to even go near the quarter where the retarded youth had imprisoned himself. Later, the young man himself jumped down from the floor of the police station. With the help of policemen and fire brigade personnel, the accused retarded youth was caught. After which the policemen present there heaved a sigh of relief. The same injured policemen were sent to the district hospital due to serious condition, who are being treated there. However, no police statement has come out in this case so far.
