According to the news received, 50-year-old Birju Kharwar, a resident of village Dugauli located in the Badlapur Kotwali police station, was a poor person, he used to earn his living by working as a laborer. In the morning he had returned to his home. After spending some time at home, Birju again left home for Tighara village to take his farewell and wages. Reached near the mango orchard located some distance from the house, some people started beating him with sticks, accusing him of mobile theft and beating him so badly that he was in a dead state. By the time the passers-by on the way informed Birju's family, the attackers had fled by the time the family members reached. The family members hurriedly took him to a doctor in Tiara Bazar, the doctor declared the injured Birju dead. Hearing the news of his death, there was a furore in the family and the people around were also shocked.

The incident was immediately reported to the Badlapur police station, the police reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem.
